The morning is for Stone Town: its coral-stone lanes, the Old Fort, the House of Wonders and the market. After lunch, you sail to Prison Island, about twenty to thirty minutes away, to see tortoises that are more than a century old and the ruins of the colonial prison.
The two tours are closely linked by the sea, and the combination gives you a full day without much driving.
