Frequently Asked Questions
Which Zanzibar tours do most guests choose first?
Safari Blue, Mnemba Island snorkeling, the Stone Town walking tour, the spice farm and Prison Island are the usual starting points. They cover the sea, the old town and the island’s nature, and they combine easily into a short stay.
How many days should I spend in Zanzibar?
Most visitors stay five to seven days. That is enough for a couple of beach days, one sea trip, a day in Stone Town and the spice farm, with room for a safari if you want one.
What is included in your tours?
It depends on the tour. Most include a guide, entrance and government fees, water and equipment where needed, and some include lunch. Every tour page lists what is included, and hotel pickup is available for an extra cost on many day tours.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes. Almost every tour can be run privately for couples, families and groups. Tell us what you would like and we will quote a private price.
Do you provide airport transfers?
Yes. We run private transfers between Zanzibar airport or the seaport and any hotel on the island, with cars, 9-seat vans and a 30-seat bus. See our transfer page for zones and vehicles.
When is the best time to visit Zanzibar?
Zanzibar is a year-round destination. June to October and December to February are the driest and sunniest months. The long rains fall in April and May, when the island is greener and quieter and most tours still run.
Can I do a safari from Zanzibar?
Yes. Mikumi and Selous (Nyerere) are possible as day trips by light aircraft, and longer safaris reach the Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara. Flights, park fees and a driver-guide are included in the safari prices.
How do I book?
Message us on WhatsApp at +255 620 232 711, email info@mosumtours.com or use the booking form. We confirm availability, the final price and the pickup time, and explain how payment works.
